The Final Conference of transFAIR project, implemented by T.R. Governorship of Kocaeli in cooperation with Provincial Directorate of Family and social Policies in Kocaeli under the framework of LLP LDV Transsfer of Innovation Projects was held in Emex Hotel Conference Hall on 23-24 September 2013.
The participants are informed about the FAIRstart program and Severe Disorder Attachment Theory during the conference. The aim of the project is to train the staff in institutions which is dealing with the children placed outside home.
The conference has started with the opening speech delivere by Mr. Enver DUZ, Provincial Director of Social Studies and Projects on 'the presentation of FAIRstart program'. Then, on behalf of the host organization, T.R. Governorship of Kocaeli, Deputy Governor Mr. Derviş Ahmet SET took the floor. He welcomed to our partners and thanked to the participants for their participation in the conference. Mr. SET said 'one of the most important dimensions of EU projects is the dissemination. The results must be exploited to other relevant people and institutions so that as many people as possible can be aware and reach the results and products of the project and it can be a valuable and sustainable project'.
After his speech, Mr. SET presented a plaque to the project coordinator Ms. Bodil M. MADSEN for her outstanding contributions to FAIRstart and transFAIR projects. At the end of the conference, also the representative group of caregivers from the children care house where the project was implemented in Kocaeli, were presented honors by the Deputy Governor Aziz İNCİ who is responsible for the Directorate of Family and Social Policies in the province.
Besides our project partners, more than 100 participants attended the conference including, Deputy and District Governors, representatives from Kocaeli University, Provincial Directors, representatives from related NGO's and caregivers who had been trained in the project.
The transFAIR Final Conference continued after the lunch where a warm atmosphere was created among the project partners and local authorities. In the afternoon three different workshops were arranged and after the evaluation session of the workshops, the conference ended with the best wishes of implementing such important and successful projects by the consortium in the following periods.
