SCENE Final Conference in Norwich UK
The final meeting and the conference of SCENE project was held in Norwich-UK in 19th and 20th of June 2014. On behalf of Governorship of Kocaeli, EU Coordinator of the Province Mr. Enver DÜZ and Project Expert Mr. Mustafa Ginesar participated in the conference.
The main agenda of the internal meeting among partners included;
- The general evaluation of the online PBL courses in 6 different countries
- The further dissemination, promotion and exploitation of the PBL working environment (http://project.forcom.it/scenelms/)
- Overview of the experimentation results, reporting, and final tasks
- Preparation of the Final Report and the Final Financial Report
- Discussions and Comments
In the afternoon, the conference was held with the participation of, project partners, students from City College Norwich and PhD students from University of Leicester who are studying on the PBL and many local individuals who are interested in Problem or Project Based Learning approach.
After a brief introduction to PBL by Mr. Harry Greiner from City College Norwich, The Project Coordinator from FOR.COM Italy, Mrs. Susanna Correnti delivered her presentation on SCENE project expert system to learn PBL: 'PBL working environment'. Then, each partner organization was given the ground to tell about their experiences on the course implementing processes in their countries.
On behalf of T.R. Governorship of Kocaeli Mr. Enver DÜZ and Mr. Mustafa GİNESAR told about the experimentation process of SCENE PBL courses implemented in Kocaeli.
The Conference ended after the inspiring presentation of Dr. John R. MERGENDOLLER from the Buck Institute for Education (USA) on PBL in three verbs approach: 'think, produce, engage'.
